Write a Letter
How long has it been since you last wrote a letter by hand? If it's been a while, or maybe you've never done it, today is a good day to pick up a pen. You'll see it will be a surprising experience.
After reading this article, take a piece of paper and start writing. Give it a try; the worst that can happen is you'll get a little mental exercise. If you're not satisfied with the result, you can always throw your writing away with peace of mind.
If you've never written with your non-dominant hand, the first few sentences will be a bit shy to come out. Don't be discouraged if you can't write fluently.
How to Write a Letter
Here's how to start taking advantage of the hidden potential in your non-dominant hand and how to write a unique letter. With all your mind and all your heart.
- Start writing with the hand you always use, as usual. Whenever you feel short of ideas or stuck in your writing, take a minute to relax. Allow your mind to unwind.
- After the break, pass the pen to the other hand and start writing, without thinking too much, without judging what you are writing. As you know, everything can always be erased, redone, rewritten, rethought.
- It is essential to let go. When you are writing, don't dwell too much on what you write. Think of writing as if you were singing karaoke; you can't stop in the middle of the song.
- Continue like this, writing with one hand until you run out of ideas, take a short break, and start again with the other hand. Keep "ping-ponging" the pen from one hand to the other until you finish your letter.
If you can avoid getting stuck and overcome the initial hurdle of difficulty, you will see that you will achieve surprising results.
A Letter to Myself
This letter is for myself.
To remind me that every written word is a small caress to the mind. A way to observe thoughts from the outside, calmly.
Whether it's a thought, a diary, a thank you, or a story... every handwritten sentence is a gift we give to time.
A slow gesture in a world that rushes.
A pause, a voice, a trace.
Write, and let the words arrange themselves.
Write with Heart and Mind
It's all about making your mind work together synergistically, and you're set. If you get stuck and just can't move forward, I've written an article on how to overcome writer's block.
